New firmware developed with AudibleHQ retains Audirvana certification and unlocks advanced streaming features across compatible AGD products.
AGD Productions has released a major firmware upgrade for its streamer digital architecture, developed in collaboration with network-audio partner AudibleHQ. The new firmware retains AGD’s existing Audirvana certification while adding Roon Ready® capability, Qobuz Connect, JPLAY certification, MQA hardware decoding, and a more robust DLNA/UPnP implementation. It also opens an internet-based OTA upgrade path for every future release.

AGD partnered with AudibleHQ to build firmware tailored to the AGD streamer digital architecture used across its streaming product family. Built on the AudibleDNA platform, the firmware improves compatibility, connection stability, and everyday operation.
The firmware is fully OTA-compatible, meaning future releases and upgrades can be pushed directly over the internet — making it easier to deploy new functionality to both new and existing AGD products already in the field.
AGD continues to work with AudibleHQ and other music-service providers to add further streaming services and capabilities as they become available.
Only the current-generation platforms below are Roon Ready certified. Earlier MKI-generation devices are not certified under this program.
With Roon Ready certification, all three models now integrate directly with Roon, expanding their network streaming capabilities while preserving the distinct architecture and performance of each AGD platform.
Roon Ready® certification lets compatible AGD products be automatically discovered by Roon and receive bit-perfect audio without complicated network configuration. The same firmware provides Qobuz Connect, retains Audirvana certification, and strengthens DLNA/UPnP discovery and playback.

Once installed, the OTA-compatible firmware allows subsequent releases and upgrades to be downloaded directly via the product’s internet connection.
If you already own an Allegro, Andante MKII, or Alto MKII, bought after August 2026, the new streaming features are delivered as a free over-the-air (OTA) firmware update — no hardware changes required:
If you own an earlier MKI-generation unit, this model cannot receive only a firmware update. MKI models are not Roon Ready certified as-is because their digital architecture differs from that of the current MKII platform. AGD offers a separate hardware upgrade program that replaces the digital and analog boards in our lab, converting the unit to full MKII specification.
If you own an MKII-generation unit purchased before August 2026, the firmware upgrade requires intervention in our lab. The upgrade is free and will bring the unit fully compatible with future OTA releases.
